Zulma is proud to be part of “The ILS Company”, a leading third-party logistics company for the past seven years. Her role is Business Development & Client Relations having close client relationships with the manufacturers that are in their father Company-Maquilas Tetakawi Industrial Parks, as well as procuring new clients to better help companies and manufactures with Transportation and Logistics Services.
Zulma’s entrepreneurial approach has earned her recognition throughout her career. She has secured her status as advocate for children in the nonprofit world in both the US and Mexico through negotiation and procurement of multiple assets benefiting the organizations that she has served. Her work with Shriners of Sonora, in public relations, where Zulma worked as fundraiser and victim’s advocate, coordinator is well recognized within the state of Sonora’s nonprofit and business sectors. Zulma also served with the Department of Social Development in Sonora Mexico, where she spearheaded national and international funding efforts for numerous organizations throughout the state of Sonora Mexico, the U.S. and Canada. Her most recent procurement of over three million dollars in medical equipment for Project C.U.R.E launched national recognition. Zulma has served as the Director of International Relations with the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce serving as a bridge to members investing in cross – border business development. Zuma is a member of and guest speaker for FCIB Global, demonstrating her expertise in multilateral business development.
Zulma has mastered navigation of layers of governmental bureaucracy to achieve objectives for nonprofits and the private business sector in Mexico, the U.S. and Canada. Her contacts and relationships developed as a result have led to her success as a keen negotiator and liaison throughout the business world. Her sales experience as a licensed realtor in Arizona and years of working in the fashion and modeling industry have secured multiple business and governmental relationships in Mexico, the U.S. and in Canada. Zulma has a background in Accounting from the University of Sonora and is fluently bilingual in English and Spanish.
